Meet BC’s top #PFAS research influencer: Lloyd Winchell. https://ow.ly/pW5W50RyA52 To date, Lloyd has served as lead author on two papers that have been recognized by Water Environment Research, a Water Environment Federation journal, as both a top cited and most downloaded article: • “Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances Thermal Destruction at Water Resource Recovery Facilities: A State of the Science Review” (November 2020) • “Pyrolysis and Gasification at Water Resource Recovery Facilities: Status of the Industry” (March 2022) Learn more about this research and get BC’s PFAS Drinking Water Standards Reference and Sampling Checklist: https://ow.ly/gtwC50RyA54. BC’s John Ross and Dr. Kati Bell, and the Great Lakes Water Authority’s Xavier Fonoll Almansa and John W. Norton Jr., contributed to both reports. Other co-authors include EnviroChem Services’ Martha Wells (2020 paper) and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago’s Thaís Bremm Pluth and Dominic Brose (2022 paper). #research #EPA

Our jobs can be a mystery to our families. In honor of #TakeYourKidtoWorkDay’s theme, #Inspire2Aspire, BCers asked the special kids in their lives: What happens when you flush the toilet? Watch their adorable responses. https://ow.ly/pI9750Roh8n 🔬 We are passionate about encouraging the water engineers, scientists, consultants, and constructors of tomorrow. Take time to connect and share your passion and career with a child — creating an opportunity to see the world through fresh eyes, raising awareness about the importance of water today and for the future, and celebrating our community connections. 👩🔬👷🧑🏫🦸Special thanks to BCers Michelle Devera, Stephanie Gramkow, Megan Mathews, Kelli Mech, Rachel Mitzlaff, April T., Katie Pollock, Sarah Protzko, Megan Purser, Donnie Stallman, and Andrew Ulliman. #TakeYourChildtoWorkDay #BringYourChildtoWorkDay #BringYourKidtoWorkDay

Happy Earth Day! To celebrate and inspire environmental stewardship, BC’s Green Employee Network Group coordinated our second annual companywide cleanup 🌎 Throughout the month of April, 18 offices across the company helped to clean up their communities. By doing our part, we can make an immediate and positive change in our natural and built communities. Here are a few highlights from our offices in Boise, Idaho; Ramsey, N.J.; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Miami. 🚮 In Boise and Ramsey, BCers rounded up litter all around town. 🦪 While our leaders in Virginia Beach came out of their office shell to help the Save the Bay Foundation reach their 10 billion recycling goal. 🏖️ Down the coast, our friends in Miami joined thousands for the 42nd Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day! ♻️ Learn more about BC’s commitment to sustainability: https://ow.ly/yglc50RkjYz 📷: Special thanks to Shelby Cunliffe, Sabrina Hutchinson, Gabriella Kanoa, Anne Henson, and Sydney Salit, P.E.! #EarthDay #EarthDayEveryDay
